All workshops are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Younger children should be accompanied by an adult. Class
size is limited!
Dry-Point
1) Title: Dry-point
If you like to draw you must try dry-point printing. This course introduces the
basics of drawing on the printing plate, plate preparation, press usage, inks,
one-colour printing, paper treatment, and editioning.
Prerequisites: None

Course fee: $60.00/day (Total for 3 days = $180.00 + taxes) The
course fee includes supplies and materials (please bring an apron or
old T-shirt and dishwashing type gloves) and the use of the studio
outside of class times.*
Collagraph
2) Title: Collagraph Printing
The fascinating technique of collagraph printing produces sculptured 3-
D effects in the printed paper. This course introduces the basics of
collagraph plate-preparation, press usage, inks, one-colour printing,
paper treatment, and editioning.

Lithography
3) Title: Lithography
Students are introduced to basic stone lithography, stone preparation,
image making and preparation, press usage, inks, one-colour printing,
paper treatment and editioning.

Course fee: $60.00/day (Total for 4 days = $240.00 + taxes) The
course fee includes supplies and materials (please bring an apron or
old T-shirt and dishwashing type gloves) and the use of the studio
outside of class times.*
* Please note use of the studio by students outside of class time
will only be for the duration of the course and at times when Raymond
is present in the studio
More Printmaking! …………..Open Studio
Advance beyond the introductory level and continue with the development of
your skills in printmaking at your leisure.
Prerequisites: Any of the Introductory Courses or their equivalent
Duration: You will have access to the studio during opening hours (when
Raymond is present) on a monthly basis to continue working in any of the
media for which you have taken Introductory Courses or their equivalent.
When? To be arranged with you
Where? Impressions, UIS studios, 305-F Main St., Shawville
Please let Raymond know ahead of time when you will be there to make sure
the studio equipment is available.
Fee: $35.00 / month Materials Fee: All materials are covered in the monthly
fee except papers. Although the studio does have a supply of tools for
working plates, it is recommended you purchase your own. This can be done
through Impressions and UIS.
Other Workshops
What are You interested in? There may be some area of interest in
printmaking not listed as a workshop here (ie Mezzotint). If so, and I can offer
instruction we can put together a workshop for you.

Ateliers de l'estampe pour 2009

les fournitures et le matériel (s'il vous plaît apporter un tablier ou un vieux T-
shirt et des gants en caoutchouc) ainsi que l'usage du studio en dehors des
heures de classe.*

2) Titre : Introduction à la Collagraphie
Les étudiants auront une introduction aux qualités originales de la
collagraphie : préparation de plaque et l’impression dans une couleur.
Dates : les jeudis 5, 12, 19 & 26 fevrier 2009
