Open Studio
An Open
Printmaking Studio - Underground Impressions
Souterraines
With the Shawville annex of my original studio public
access has become much easier. For those interested in
art Shawville is very accessible. Whether you are
interested in art as a collector, as a student or as an artist
wishing to try your hand at some print media, 305-F Main
St. Shawville is much easier to find than the 11th Line in
Bristol, my home studio.
This is what constitutes an open print studio. A studio
that is open to the public for the viewing of fine art print
work, both finished and in process. An open studio for
artists who would like to use the studio facilities for their
own work, and open studio for those who would like to
learn about the process.
In Shawville UIS is mainly set up for Intaglio printing. I do
dry-point, mezzotint and collograph with workshops
offered in all of these techniques (I am not set up for
etching). The lithography studio is almost ready.
